Million Volunteer Run 2 kicks off in Jagna

The Local Government Unit of Jagna together with students and volunteers kicked off the Red Cross Million Volunteer Run 2 at 7:45 AM on February 10, 2013.

LGU employees, students from the Bohol Institute of Technology-International School Jagna, Colegio dela Medalla Milagrosa, Jagna University of Bohol Organization and some volunteers assembled at the Jagna Gym for the early morning registration.

A short program commenced with the mayor giving the rationale of the Red Cross activity.

The first runner to arrive at the Gym was Mr. Dwight Galolo of Pangdan.

The Philippine National Police in Jagna is one with the National Police Commission in celebrating the 17th National Awareness Week for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation. This week from February 9 to 17, the PNP Jagna will conduct information education campaign with the theme “Child Pornography Wakasan sa Tamang Paggamit ng Internet, Bata ay Gabayan”.

The DENR’s National Mapping and Resource Information Authority visited the town on February 11, 2013 to conduct a workshop on Mapping and Inventory of Forestland Occupants. This is a process on data generation of upland/forestland population. Attended by selected barangays of Jagna and Garcia Hernandez.
