Cash award from the DILG used for waterworks project

LGU Jagna headed by Mayor Fortunato R. Abrenilla together with Provincial DILG Administrative Officer Ms. Regina Gina Gatal Bastes, MLGOO Lito Dajalos, MPDC Engr. Gerry Araneta, JWS Supervisor Bernardo Baja lead the groundbreaking ceremony on the project Rehabilitation of Jagna Waterworks System (JWS) Laying of PVC Pipes on March 15, 2012 at Cabungaan, Jagna, Bohol.

 
This project costs P4,026,415.00 funded from the following sources: Local Government Support Fund (LGSF), Performance Challenge Fund (PCF), Provincial Development Fund, Countrywide Development Fund with counterpart form the LGU.

 
LGSF and PCF are funds awarded to the LGU for winning the Seal of Good Housekeeping from the DILG. The criteria highlighted is transparency and excellent performance in financial management.

 

The LGSF amounting to P1,000,000 was divided equally between the Common Service Facility for Calamay and form part of the initial fund for the rehabilitation of the Jagna Waterworks System. The LGU is waiting for the release of the PCF.

 

As a priority project of Mayor Fortunato R. Abrenilla, the project scope will be putting up of additional transmission lines from Tejero to Lonoy source.

 

Mayor Abrenilla has been dynamic in this project as his vision is to provide 24/7 water service to existing consumers; provide potable water; as well as expand the service of the JWS.
