Basic Life Support (BLS) Refresher Course

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management (MDRRM) conducts a-3 day training about Basic Life Support (BLS) on October 25-27, 2019 at the Captain Goyo Hall. Participants are the members of the Bantay Dagat, JEMRU/MDRRM, Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWDO) and the Barangay Action Officers.

The purpose is to refresh the participants regarding saving lives during an emergency. One of the highlights on the first day is about First Aid as well as some precautions to avoid harming oneself and the threatened person.

According to Mr. Michael Abueva, learning first aid doesn’t require a doctor’s degree, everyone can learn and be able to perform it.

 

Regional Commission on Population (POPCOM)

Nagpahigayon ug usa ka panagtigum ang Regional Commission on Population (POPCOM) karong Oktubre 24, 2019 aron makighinabi kang Mayor Joseph Ranola kabahin sa ilahang mga serbisyo ug programa para sa lungsod sa Jagna.

Usa sa ilahang mga programa ang Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health nga gibuhat aron mapaubos ang kaso sa teenage pregnancy kay gi deklara na kini nga “national emergency” sa Department of Health tungod sa nagkataas nga kaso niini sa Pilipinas.

Public Financial Management Action Team (PFMAT) Meeting

Ang Public Financial Management Action Team (PFMAT) kauban si Mayor Joseph Ranola naghimo ug panagtigum didto sa Captain Goyo Hall karong adlawa Oktubre 24, 2019 duyog sa pagbisita sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region Office VII aron pagahimoon ang pag validate sa Public Financial Management Improvement Plan (PFMIP).

Gi presentar ni Municipal Budget Officer Ms. Brigida B. Aceron ang Annex A Tracking Table gikan sa tuig 2015 hangtud 2017 aron masusi kini. Kada tulo ka tuig pagahimoon ang maong pag validate sa PFMIP.

Jagna Tourism Foundation

The Jagna Tourism Foundation meets with Mayor Joseph Ranola on October 24, 2019 to tackle about the tourism activities and religious sites that will be implemented in Jagna including the Shrines of Birhen sa Barangay at Ilihan Hill, Pedro Calungsod in barangay Malbog and St. Michael the Archangel in barangay Can-upao.

Mrs. Gina Ranan shows the map of Can-upao to point out the possible places on where the St. Michael the Archangel statue will be placed. Mayor Ranola also gives his suggestions and ideas regarding the said projects.

 

HIV Counseling and Testing @ Jagna Gym

Gihimo ang libre nga HIV Counseling and Testing sa Jagna Gymnasium karong Adlawa Oktubre 24, 2019 8:00am hangtud 2:00pm nga gipanguluhan sa Municipal Health Office (MHO).

Mu-agi una ug pre-counseling ang mga magpa HIV testing kabahin sa HIV ug AIDS. E-counseling usab sila inig human sa test aron mastoryahan sila bahin sa resulta.

 

Barangay First 1,000 Days (BF1KD) Program

The Municipal Nutrition Action Office (MNAO) conduct a meeting regarding the Barangay First 1,000 Days (BF1KD) program on October 23, 2019 at the Captain Goyo Hall together with the barangay captains and treasurers of the 20 chosen barangays of Jagna.

Each chosen barangay is tasked to monitor pregnant women and infant under 0-23 months and conduct twice a month meetings in their respective barangay.

The BF1KD was made to provide health and nutrition services to pregnant women especially to children during their early days of development.
