Joni and Friends visited the town last July 2 bringing hope to disabled children under the Stimulation Therapeutic Activity Center (STAC) of Jagna. An organization that provides outreach to thousands of families affected by disability around the world, Joni and Friends was founded by Joni Earickson Tada who was left a quadriplegic after a diving accident.

The volunteers of Joni and Friends (physical therapist, occupational therapist, medical doctors and church leaders from the US and Manila came bringing with them assistive devices like wheelchairs and walkers for disabled children. Since 2010, there are 22 STAC Jagna beneficiaries of assistive devices. Of the 22 beneficiaries of Joni’s and friends under STAC Jagna, 14 were from the municipality of Jagna, 3 from Guindulman, 2 from Valencia, 2 from Garcia and 1 from Dimiao.

In their July 2 visit there were additional 3 beneficiaries who were fitted wheelchairs. For the first time Joni and Friends brought a pediatric consultant to check on the children. The children were given medicines, vitamins, bibles after the consultation.

Indeed blessings are pouring in. The municipality is thankful to Joni and Friends for the donations as well as for the encouragement most especially the words of God shared.
