February of each year has been declared by Proclamation No. 682 of then President Corazon C. Aquino as Civil Registration Month. The Municipality of Jagna thru the 7th Sangguniang Bayan crafted Municipal Ordinance No 10-12-2010 “AN ORDINANCE TO INSTITUTIONALIZE THE CONDUCT OF THE HEREIN-SPECIFIED ACTIVITIES IN LINE WITH THE CELEBRATION OF THE CIVIL REGISTRATION MONTH EVERY FEBRUARY OF EACH YEAR” enacted on December 2010.
The activities to be spearheaded by the Municipal Civil Registrar are conduct of Mobile Registration and Free Issuance of Certification and Registration. Municipal Civil Registrar Lovella E. Acebes has scheduled the Mobile Registration in the barangays of Laca and Buyog last February 8; Balili and Cantuyoc last February 15 and will continue on February 22 in the barangays of Calabacita and Mayana; February 29 in Lonoy and Cambugason. The MCR and her staff will bring its services closer to stakeholders in observance of the Civil Registration Month.
The highlight activity of the Civil Registration Month is the conduct on February 24 of the free issuance of certification to be held at the Civil Registration Office located in barangay Poblacion.
In a guesting during the LGU Hour on February 16 from 9-10 in the morning. Ms. Acebes urged Jagnaanons to take advantage of the opportunity of the mobile registration as well as the free issuance of certification. Ms. Acebes also discussed thoroughly the process of late registration and legitimization on air during her guesting.
The LGU hour is a regular program of Jagna’s Community Radio, DYJP and airs on Thursdays from 9-10 in the morning.
