New BPLO ready for taxpayers and entrepreneurs

A new Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) of the municipality was blessed last January 2, 2011 by Rev. Fr. Alberto Uy.

A mass was celebrated after the flag ceremony attended by Mayor Fortunato Abrenilla and LGU employees.

According to Mayor Fortunato Abrenilla, taxpayers will now have a comfortable place to transact business related to taxpaying and securing business permits and licenses. He said, “let us give taxpayers what is due them”.

The construction of the office at the side of the Municipal Hall started as soon as the mayor assumed office. HRMO and BPL Officer Ms. Efrena A. Buenafe enlightened the new mayor on the benefits to the taxpayer of having a separate office.

Whereas the conduct of the Business One Stop Shop was previously held at the Jagna Gymnasium, now a comfortable office was constructed solely for the purpose. With a television installed surely taxpayers will now be entertained as they wait for their turn.

In relation to the BPLO, the BOSS or Business One-Stop-Shop for fast and easy releasing of business permit and licenses is again in operation the whole month of January. Payment of real property taxes with a 20% discount will be given to taxpayers who pay their real estate taxes during the month of January is also a part of the annual BOSS.

Business permits and licenses will be issued at the new BPL Office. The BOSS has been an annual activity during January. It aims for a hassle-free transaction as all offices concerned in the issuance of a permit or a license are already organized in one area and according to the steps indicated in the process. No more going from office to office to get the required clearance for the issuance.

The flow of the BPLS is as follows: Secure business application form & comply pre-process requirements; File and submit application for new/renewal of business permit; One-time assessment of taxes, fees and charges; One-time payment of taxes, fees and charges; Submit documents & releasing of Mayor’s/Business Permit and MCH for motorela

Requirements are as follows: Barangay business clearance; Cedula; Fire safety inspection certificate; Vehicle inspection form; Contract of lease; Market Clearance; ISWM clearance; Association clearance; Documentary stamp; Health certificate, photocopy of DTI approved business name.
