JAGNA – The opening salvo of the nightly presentations in honor of the celebration of the feast day of St. Michael the Archangel showcased the presentation of the National Government Agencies, Provincial Government agencies and Local Government Unit Official and Employees “Takusay sa Kahanas”. This night, September 20, was a competition of singing and hiphop dance champions coming from within the town and from other places.

Singing champions coming from as far as Leyte and hiphop dance champions from Cebu joined in the competition.

Winners of the battle of singing champions were: Mr. Jhun Dinopol, 1st prize; Mr. Christopher Galamiton, 2nd prize; Mr. Rommel Cabalida and Mr. Jojo Enares tied in the 3rd place.

Judges were Ms. Aurora Mara, Ms. Alma Penales Deloso and the chairperson of the board of judges Rev. Fr. Basilio Auxtero.

Extreme 24/7 of Carmen, Bohol toppled 9 other hiphop contestants to bag the first place. Excel Dancers from Cebu City won as second place and Step Closer from Jagna won as third place.

The judges were hiphop experts Finbar Abrau, Wilson Maru Lipar, Jr. and Edward Allan Bugtong.

The night also brought LGU employees together to witness the conferment of Loyalty Awards and Service Awards to 5 LGU personnel.

Mayor Fortunato R. Abrenilla and Vice Mayor Exuperio Lloren together handed the awards to Mr. Peter G. Rana; Dr. Arnold Dasio M. Cagulada; Mrs. Matilde T. Casenas; Mrs. Teotima Lloren; Mr. Eli Doria.

The night was also an opportune time for the LGU to launch the official Sinoog Estokada Jingle for all the Jagnaanons to hear.

The affair was gaily hosted by Ms. Jannette Bernaldes, Ms. Debora Tre-inta and Dr. Emilio Raymond Claudio.
