Relief distribution met with smiles

The Municipality of Jagna, helped fellow Boholanos in the severely affected San Isidro town by distributing goods that may help assuage their immediate needs.

Leaving the town at 9:00 AM on October 23, 2013, the convoy tackled the Mayana, Jagna – Sierra Bullones – Carmen – Sagbayan – Catigbian – Libertad, Tubigon – San Isidro route arriving in San Isidro at 11:30. The group directly went to the makeshift operations center at the San Isidro Central Elementary School to ask Mayor Jacinto Naraga of the specific barangays who were in need of help.

Two military officers accompanied the LGU to the 2 barangays – Cansugue Sur and Baunos, San Isidro for relief distribution. There were 150 families in Brgy. Cansugue Sur and 129 from Baunos who were given relief goods. Water, five kilos of rice and half kilo of dried fish were distributed by the LGU Jagna.

Punong barangays Crispin Ompoy (Cansugue Sur) and Mario Ladura (Baunos) expressed gratitude to LGU Jagna for the help extended.

The LGU team that went to San Isidro was led by Mayor Fortunato R. Abrenilla with Vice Mayor Bonifacio Virtudes, Jr., Municipal Councilor Cesario M. Cagulada and members of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC).
