A team from the Department of Energy’e Oil Industry Management Bureau (OIMB) will visit the town on March 29, 2012 to conduct
information, education and communication campaign on energy safe practices. The activity will be conducted at the Capt. Goyo Hall located inside the town’s municipal hall from 8AM – 12 NN.
Entitled “Ligtas na Paggamit ng Gas” of “SAFE LPG”, the project is under the OIMB’s Gender and Development Program.
The topics for discussion set in the programme are: Overview of the Downstream Oil Industry; Presentation of Rules and Regulations
on Household LPG, Auto-LPG, Retail Rules (LPP); Safety and Consumer Tips on Liquid Petroleum Products and Household LPG.
Invited to the half day IEC are Municipal Councilors, Barangay Captains, retailers of Household LPG and Liquid Fuels, Officers of
Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association, Public Utility Jeepney Operators and Drivers, Women’s Organizations and representatives of the Business and Licensing Office of the LGU.
This project is one of the strategies of the DOE to heighten the awareness of the consumers on safe LPG practices.
The project is spearheaded by the Office of the Mayor.
