JAGNA – Finally, the yearlong wait is over. As the town celebrates its 381st Foundation Day on September 29, the whole of Jagna will be dancing to the beat of the new Sinoog Estokada Jingle.
Lyrics and music by Mr. Winefredo Bertumen, the Sinoog Estokada jingle will be officially launched on September 20 during the opening night sponsored by the National Government Agencies, Provincial Agencies and the LGU.
The new jingle adopted the beating drums of the traditional Sinoog Estokada performed by youngsters from Cabungaan under Mr. Venancio Nayga. These youngsters dance to the beat telling the story of the fight between St. Michael the Archangel and the forces of evil led by Lucifer. This has become a much-awaited highlight in every fiesta celebration.
This year, as an offering to St. Michael the Archangel, the whole town will reverberate with the merriment of the celebration as well as to the beat of the new jingle during the SINOOG ESTOKADA streetdancing performed by LGU employees and participating schools.
