Members of the Community Radio Council (CRC) and volunteer broadcasters of the only community radio in Bohol, DYJP 100.1 FM attended a 4-day Basics for Radio Production Training on November 3 – 6 at the Audio Visual Room of the Colegio dela Medalla Milagrosa in Jagna.
The training was facilitated by Isis International Manila’s Ms. Bianca Miglioretto, Community Radio Officer and Ms. Lalen de Vela, Resource Development Officer.
Isis International is an organization working through media and information and communications technologies towards achieving women’s rights and facilitating networking and information sharing of women’s movements in the global South.
The 4-day training covered medium radio and principles of Community Radio; Program format: magazine program, radio feature; writing for radio; preparing field interviews; studio techniques with hands on; digital editing; working on radio features, editing interviews, writing and recording scripts, selecting and recording music, sound effects.
Power Relations in Media – Participatory and Gender Faire Broadcasting and Libel were in the training coverage.
The discussion on Libel was facilitated by Atty. Jan Michael Cagulada.
Workshops and hands on experiences were the main activities.
The training was sponsored by LGU Jagna and Philos Health its partner NGO and organized by the Community Radio Council and Ms. Malou Jumawan.
